Chorus Partners with Renault Group to Transform Automotive Factories

In April, 2025 as Chorus graduated from Alphabet’s X, the moonshot factory and became an independent company, I wrote that “we’re uniquely positioned to create real and lasting impact, helping our partners and their customers know the state of their business, know what’s coming, and know what to do about it.” Today, we’re excited to announce a collaboration with Renault Group, one of Europe’s largest automakers, that does just that. We’ve worked with Renault to bring real-time orchestration to their groundbreaking ReFactory in Valladolid, Spain. This collaboration demonstrates how Chorus technology can address the complex operational challenges of automotive manufacturing.

Solving the Complexity of Automotive Reconditioning
The ReFactory offers a new vision for automotive operations, disassembling and reconditioning vehicles to give them new life. But this shift creates unprecedented logistical hurdles. Traditional manufacturing requires predictable, linear flows; reconditioning, however, must manage hundreds of vehicles in different states, track countless components, and coordinate complex, varied operations with unique timelines for every vehicle.

This is exactly the type of environment where Chorus excels. Our technology brings clarity to complex operations by providing real-time visibility into every asset—whether it’s a complete vehicle entering the facility or individual components being reconditioned.
